I Heart Faces: Autumn Beauty

I haven't posted for I Heart Faces in a while.... The combination of busyness this fall and just not having pictures that fit the theme very well have kept me from entering much lately. But, when I heard the theme this week was "Autumn Beauty," I knew EXACTLY the picture I could use.

Actually, I thought of a few. But this was my top pick. It's from a family session just a week ago.



We took this in the family's back yard and there was leaves all over. Made my heart smile. It also made my heart smile when "R" was willing to lay on the ground for this shot that I was envisioning--she was an AWESOME model for me.

M+C | Fort Worth Family Photography

Maxine and Charles. Or my grandparents. They celebrated 50 years of marriage over three years ago. Since they didn't really get an opportunity to get good portraits of the two of them taken then, they asked me to take some now that I have some good equipment. ;)

One Sunday morning, when I was in their neck o' the woods, I came by before they went to church and we shot away for about an hour around their home. I know they thought some of my ideas were crazy, but I think we got some of the sweetest and unique shots.

Now on to the pictures! I'm starting off with one of my faves. Hope all you Aggies out there notice my Grandpa's beautiful Aggie ring. My Grandma and Grandpa are both Texas A&M graduates-Whoop!












The shot below is one they definitely didn't get when I took it. A little too creative for them too imagine, I guess. But now that they've seen it, I think they like it...I hope...Well, I like it. :-)

At the end of my my last post I said that I had more pictures to post. That was true almost a month ago, and it's even truer now. I have gotten a bit behind with posting, but I am hoping to get caught up in the next week or so. But it's gonna be a crazy week, so we'll see.

This post post is just a little sneak peak of pictures I've taken in the past month.

I just want to say real quick that I'm so blessed by the supportive friends and family in my life. I know I wouldn't be pursuing photography as much without their support in my work. (This is probably partly because my love language is encouraging words. If you say something genuinely encouraging to me, I will love you forever.) So, if you're reading this and you're one of those people (you know who you are), just consider this a big THANK YOU for all the love and support you've given me!
